Sky stream issues

Often when streaming a program on Sky Stream, after the advert break the program can go right back to the beginning of the episode. Anyone else having this issue, it's driving me nuts.

thanks for any help you can provide 👍👍

Any particular programme or app this is happening on, or is it generally on everything?

Perhaps you should check your MySky account and see if there's an offer for a couple of months of ad-skipping free. Give that a go and see if it helps. If it doesn't then I can recommend paying for ITVX Premium and Channel 4+ if you watch a lot of their content, then you can watch their programmes on demand without any ads at all.

Thanks for your reply, it's happening in ITVx mainly. Though shouldn't have to pay for add free for a service that should work!

Ad-skipping on Sky Stream is quite a unique service because it covers multiple ad-supported apps. Obviously ITV & Channel 4 would much rather you pay them than Sky for ad-free streaming, which is probably why it doesn't work particularly well all the time on SkyOS.

I personally always found it to be glitchy too, but always got Sky's ad-skipping free by repeating the 2 months free offer on MySky. The random glitches were too frustrating though, hence why I started paying for proper ad-free streaming directly with ITVX and Channel 4 and using my own streaming hardware.
