Sky stream, default streaming format

I've always had my stream set to auto, so when I watch HDR content, it automatically shows me in that format. For  months now it's not been working .all I get is HD, I have to manually set to HDR. I tried setting to UHD content Only, it works for a few days and then anything in HDR will only be shown in ultra HD.. I still have to select HDR content manually which is annoying me now a lot. Is anyone else having the same problem?

@Ldnsth This is not a problem I have seen mentioned before on the forum.

It should certainly stay in the default streaming format that you have selected.  If you have not already done so I would reboot your system (Switch off at the socket for 30 seconds and switch back on) If your system has developed a glitch in the software this will probably clear it.

If the problem persists I would give Sky a call for their advice.

Re: Sky stream, default streaming format

@Ldnsth

I get this periodically on my puck too. It seems to be another random Stream quirk that only affects some people some of the time. It seemed to happen a lot with stuff that was on my playlist. The first episode of something would be watched in UHD/HDR but when I go to watch the next episode it defaults to standard UHD.

It's one of the reasons I just don't use the playlist (or indeed the puck) much any more. If there's something I want to watch on it I just search for the best quality version and select it manually.
