I am thinking of buying a new Sony Bravia TV which I understand is a 'Google TV'. I want to connect my Sky stream puck to it. I want to keep the same interface/menu/services I have now. Will this work?

Thanks. I was reading stuff about having to sign into my Google account on the TV and apps not working on a Google interface. That's just what I wanted to hear.

That refers to the much wider range of apps on the television itself provided within the Google operating system and environment, and is correct. If you use the television remote you'll see a Google interface.
The limited selection of apps hosted by the Stream puck and the Stream GUI are entirely separate.
