Sky sports useless

As SKY sports seem to have stopped covering relevant sports I wonder what I am paying for! This would appear to be some kind of scam between sky and tnt. how do I cancel my sports channels?

@cathmike  You do know that TNT & Sky are seperate companies?  You are aware that there is competition with who pays for sports rights. Long gone are the days when 1 broadcaster has all the rights.

It's not a "scam" as you put it, it's competition.

If you have Sky stream (where you have posted) you can amend the TV packs you subscribe to through your Sky account or MySky app, ahve you tried this?

Re: Sky sports useless

Thanks GDI I do realise that on the face of it they are seperate companies. However when TNT comes up on the Sky sports menus and sky stop covering sports like the ashes I do wonder what is going on !

@cathmike  Sky Stream is designed to show content from all providers on the platform, they do this also for Netflix, BBC, ITV etc.

Re: Sky sports useless

GD1, Still doesn't feel right. Sky sports is an expensive option and TNT is more so. As " competitors" why would you make TNT so relevant to sky sports.

For cricket rights in particular broadcasters have to do deals with the local cricket authorities who are the rights holder.

For example Sky have a deal with Cricket England for home internationals, which is the reason why home Ashes tests are on Sky as part of that deal.

Cricket Australia hold the broadcasts rights to all games played in Australia, and they weren't willing to just sell the Ashes, so TNT Sports had to do a deal to show a number of Australia internationals being played in Australia to get the broadcast rights for the Ashes. For most UK broadcasters a deal like that wouldn't necessarily make commercial sense seeing how the demand to watch Australian home internationals in the UK is likely quite low.
