Sky sent me a defective SKY TV Remote

I have not used my SKY TV in 2 months because the SKY Remote stopped working many weeks ago.

Back then , I complained to SKY and a promise was made to send me a new one.

I got nothing from SKY for weeks!

On Monday after waiting for many weeks I complained again.

  • This morning I received another 

Remote but it was Dead on Arrival!

The Remote is not working because the battery compartment has an ashy substance on the batteries. 

Therefore  I am back to Square, one of not using my SKY TV!

For how long  SKY?

Why are your Remotes defective???

Your not talking to Sky we are fellow customers here on the forum. I have had a replacement remote and it arrived next day. Unfortunately it sounds like someone didn't do something they should.

 

As an alternative if you still have Sky Q kit, you can pair and use this until a working replacement arrives or if you have Amazon you can buy one (not that you should have to). www.sky.com/help/articles/damaged-or-lost-sky-glass-remote

I'd imagine that's due to a problem in materials, manufacturing, transit or storage.  Such things happen, particularly in a global distribution system.

Replacement remotes should arrive in a few days .... never wait a week or months😉
