Sky puck rebooting/restarting

Our sky puck keeps rebooting/restarting making it impossible to watch anything! 3 pucks later...

First puck lasted 4 months and began restarting on Tuesday 4th March. Replaced with the 2nd puck on Friday 7th,  which lasted a week and starting restarting on 15th March. 3rd puck received last Monday 17th March which has lasted just over a week and restarted tonight - 25th March.

Spoke to Sky, there is nothing wrong with connections, power source etc, we have changed the HDMI cable, plug sockets, settings, refreshed apps and they can only put it down to a faulty puck - 3 different ones?  It's very frustrating and it seems to trigger more at night, sometimes in the day. I'm not sure if this happens with Sky programmes such as Sky Sports, Sky Movies, Sky Showcas etc. ? I could be wrong but it didn't seem to trigger with normal programmes or apps. Or it might after the Sky has begun the rebooting on the day..

Becoming very frustrated and losing our patience with it. We pay a lot of money and are losing out on what we can watch.

Our TV also turns on the Sky, if this has anything to do with it as seen a previous post changing settings of this, and something worked?

Thanks

Re: Sky puck rebooting/restarting

Forgot to add, we have another puck in the bedroom. We have put the same channels on as we did on the living room puck, and this is working fine with no restarts. The living room one has the channel on for a few minutes before it restarts.

Re: Sky puck rebooting/restarting

@Courtney65 Could you temporarily swap the two pucks around please? So put the one that works in your bedroom in the living room and vice-versa.

If the one that was previously in the bedroom suddenly starts restarting too we can rule out a Puck issue and start looking into potential environment issues.

It sounds like sometimes it can take a while for a restart to happen so it might be that you need to use this swapped setup for a week or two to know for sure.
