Sky puck freezing

This has happened several times when picking an episode from multiple series on my playlist Sometimes the screen goes blank The puck stops and never catches up. It won't switch off. I have to unplug it. Indo the same thing on my other puck and it works fine. I think it's a faulty puck. Any thoughts pls

Re: Sky puck freezing

It will be your WiFi connection, speed, latency or combination of all three.

try hard wire connection via Ethernet cable, see if it still happens

Re: Sky puck freezing

I have had 2 pucks, now a 3rd today. It freezes or loops or blanks, and now my new puck works 10 or 15 mins then dies. I have it on video, have spoken to "tech services" x2 very strongly (they seem to think I am an idiot, asking the same thing again and again, just like my last puck).

Anyone else???

What is  your broadband speed  and how is it connected  to the puck, what other devices do you have connected  to the broadband? Wifi signal  can be unstable especially when you have lots of devices  connected to your  broadband, ethernet cable is more stable than WiFi to connect, I  have a busy  house, I  am  on sky full fibre to the property broadband gigafast 900mps, 2 55inch sky glass tvs 43 lg tv, puck, sky live camera, Xbox, freesat box, 3 mobiles, personal  computer, laptop, tablet, 3 alexers, no problems  with  freezing, the tvs  are connected by ethernet cables the puck and everything else  is  on the  wifi, had gigafast  broadband  since January last year

Re: Sky puck freezing

@Cliff14 @Try going in to Netflix app via your troublesome stream puck and complete a speed test. It's within the Netflix app settings. Compare this to your other pucks.

also try physically moving the puck, sometimes interference can cause issues. Good luck with it
