Hi,
wonder if anyone can offer some advice, we have just decided to move over from Virginmedia to Sky Stream with Sky Broadband full fibre as don't have a BT line
anyway when I was doing the order on Sky's website it didn't give me the option of upgrading from the essentials package so how soon after activation can I upgrade to the ultimate package and sky sports etc?

Once you are set up on MySky it should provide an option to upgrade online or app. The other probably quicker option is to give Sky a quick call. It won't be an issue

@Cheekytoon if you aren't aware the activation for Sky Stream will be different to that of the broadband service. For Sky Stream the service activates automatically 21 days after delivery of the puck or once you plug it in and go through the on screen setup instructions ( whichever is first). You can use Sky Stream on any broadband service.

Re: New user on Sky stream upgrade account?
Hi, yeah that's fine my Virginmedia service runs out on 13th June,
but I had to book the Broadband now as the first install date was the 9th June and I wouldn't of had broadband as we have no BT landline, the Puck is due to arrive Tuesday so will activate around the 3rd of June if activates a few days before virgin runs out I don't mind, compared to what Virgin wanted me to pay for my package I'm still quids in

Re: New user on Sky stream upgrade account?
You will be able to install your Sky Stream as soon as it is delivered and you can connect it to your current Virgin broadband temporarily.
Once your Sky broadband is up and runnning, change your Sky Stream over to that.
Streaming TV billing starts when you activate Sky Stream* and any subscriptions are charged a month in advance.
*If you don’t activate your Sky Streamwithin 21 days of delivery, your subscription and billing will start automatically.
Sky TV and Sky broadband billing are treated as separate products when you order Sky Glass or Sky Stream.

Re: New user on Sky stream upgrade account?
Hi lettuce,
we have only ordered a puck and broadband as didn't need a new screen
My VM package doesn't run out until 13th June so we will let this first puck activate itself on 3rd June and then get the broadband installed on the 9th
we are away from 20th until 5th July so when we return I'll order an extra puck and upgrade the package

Edited my post, same applies.
You can order an extra puck as soon as your first is activated.
You can order one within your MySky app or MySky online under the Your products section, so no need to call Sky.
Each additional Sky Stream puck will incur a one off charge of £39.95 and you will need to add the Whole home pack.
Plus, with the Whole Home pack you can also watch on four devices at the same time on the Sky Go app and on your games consoles.
