Sky puck activation issues

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can help or has had a similar issue, because I’m getting nowhere with Sky directly.

We had our Sky Stream installed on 9th October by an engineer. At the time, the Sky app was still showing that our puck was out for delivery, even though it had already arrived and been installed. The engineer couldn’t activate it and advised us to call Sky.

I called Sky the same day and was told it was a known fault and they’d sort it out. Eventually, the app updated to show the puck as delivered, so we tried again and managed to activate it — but we’ve never been able to stream or access Netflix through Sky. (Our broadband and phone are working perfectly fine.)

Since then, I’ve spoken to Sky multiple times. Every time they say they’re looking into it, but nothing changes. One advisor suggested doing a factory reset, which I did with them over the phone. Unfortunately, after that, the puck now won’t move past the activation screen.

It gives me the activation code and I scan the QR code on my phone — my phone confirms it’s activated, but the TV just stays on the same screen and won’t progress any further. To make matters worse, the Sky app now says everything’s activated and working, so we’re being charged for a service we can’t use.

The last person I spoke to said they’d “try to force the activation through from their end,” but that was a while ago and nothing has happened. I’m honestly losing patience now — I’ve done everything that’s been asked, and we’re still stuck on the activation screen.

Has anyone else had this happen or found a fix? Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
