Sky parental controls PIN

I am trying to watch a film I've bought but it requires a parental controls PIN, which I've never set up. I've tried all sorts including the last four digits of my mobile number (and it's apparently not the same as my user PIN which I have set up). I've clicked the 'forgotten PIN' button and it tells me it's sent a reset email but this hasn't turned up (and no, it's not I'm my spam folder). I've tried this several times with the same non-result. How can I get or change this PIN please?

Hi @Craig1969 

 

It's not 100% which pin you are trying here. Where is the reset button you are trying? You say you have bought a movie was this on Sky Store? If so see 'forgot pin' here: https://www.skystore.com/n/hmya/help/faq/my-account

 

If your PIN is your Sky Glass / Stream PIN see: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/your-sky-glass-pin

 

Some clarification will help the community provide assistance.

On my Sky Stream Puck, I went: Playlist>Sky Store purchases>selected the movie>selected Play>was prompted for the 'Parental Controls' PIN>didn't have it so selected 'Forgotten PIN' under the keypad>was informed a reset email had been sent.

 

I checked both the inbox linked with the account and the spam folder but the email never turned up. I tried this several times with the same result.

 

I also tried via the Sky Store app and went through a similar process: My Movies>selected the movie>selected Play>was prompted for the Parental Controls PIN>selected Forgotten PIN>was informed a reset email had been sent but it didn't turn up.

 

I've tried looking elsewhere on the Sky apps and via the Puck and can reset a PIN but it seems to be a different on than the Parental Controls PIN, so I'm at a loss.

 

Hopefully that's sufficient information for someone to offer a solution.
