Sky jumps through adverts when live or play back. Apps either fail to load, or stop working whilst watching. I have unplugged it and reset it but it is still the same. Two months this has been going on for.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Fay75 have you done a speed test to see what the network connection is like from the device. Open Netflix go to get help then check your network. It's worth doing it once when everything is working fine and then run a test again when you start having issues to see if the speed has changed.
Sky Glass and Stream does have it's quirks at times and the Glass hardware is a " iffy " but a lot of the issues ( particularly with stream) are related to network connectivity and speed issues.
also the way it's setup can make a difference? WiFi vs Ethernet and also how close the router or other electronic equipment are to the glass/stream makes a big difference as well as they can cause WiFi interference.

My Internet is high speed and I work at home upstairs on the Internet all day and never have an issue. It is sky stream. I am paying £50 a month for a bad service. It is always the adverts every day.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Fay75 just because your internet connection is good for other devices around the house doesn't actually mean it will be fine for a tiny stream box. There are a number of factors that affect WiFi signal quality and there can be significant differences from one side of the room to another.
if you aren't going to take the advice and suggestions of this community I have absolutely no idea why you are posting on it.

How rude you are. I am taking this further. I work in customer service and would never speak to one of our customers like you have.

As I said it is the adverts every day. So your saying that it choses not to work correctly just through the adverts. Absolute rubbish.

hey!
How is your puck connected?
Wifi/ethernet? Do you use any repeaters or WiFi disks?
Are you using standard isp provided equipment?
Don't listen to sky trying to tell you it's your broadband, they quite often like to blame other providers, possibly on the hopes people switch to sky.
Anyway, I have found that skipping through ads can be troublesome, obviously you can't skip ads if your watching live as you can't jump into the future.
Ad skipping is for when your watching ondemand with the likes of itvx etc.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jon34 Sky don't necessary blame the broadband provider at all. in fact Sky actively say it will work on any ISP providing your minimum speed is at least 30 Mbps.
Usually, but not all cases, as you have alluded to its all about the network setup and connectivity that someone has, along with the location of teh sky stream puck.

Also what is important is the connection speed between the Sky device and the internet, rather than the sync speed of the router to the internet🤔

Worked well for me when it was sky q. Now its sky stream keeps going off. Spent hours on the phone to sky only to find out that I have walls in my house!!! It is also the phone to near the router - sky installed it. Puck is 2 yards from router.
