Sky Stream woes
I've been a subscriber to Sky since it started and have always found the service to be exemplary. However I upgraded to Sky Stream almost 18 months ago and while I love the design, I find it feels like a buggy beta. Some programs can be pixelated. Sometimes halfway through a live transmission it will suddenly return to the beginning. It saddens me that I'm considering cancelling when my contract ends in the next few months. But I'm having to reboot the box most days sometimes more than once. I hope Sky eventually update the software and hardware to a point where it doesn't feel like a step backwards.
the only thing I will miss is the ability to fast forward adverts on live programs. But such a shame it's coming to this.
my internet is 1 gig hardwired so not the issue. Have also tried wireless to no avail.

Re: Sky Stream woes
Another thing to try is to make sure you are exiting apps rather than just pressing the home button to leave them. Pressing the home button will typically leave them running in the background and will then consume what little resources the puck has.
Some apps this is done by implying going to the apps home page and pressing the back button, other apps like Netflix have a Exit button in the side menu.
i used to have to reboot my pick reguarly ( at least once every 2 days) but since ensuring I exit each app I've found I no longer have to do the reboot.

You cannot fast forward adverts on live TV... unless you have the ability to travel into the future.
You can fast forward adverts if you have joined a 'live' programme after it has started and selected 'watch from the start', but only up to the point of the 'live' broadcast stream.

Re: Sky Stream woes
Sorry you misunderstand. We generally start watching programs 15 minutes in which allows us to fast forward up to the point we're it becomes live. Time travel still in beta unfortunately. But thanks for pointing that out 😀

Re: Sky Stream woes
You are quite right I generally just press the home button. Will try your recommendations. Does makes sense as this does seem like a memory issue 😀
