2, things, flipped primary DNS around from 1.1.1.1 to 8.8.8.8
Rebooted Network - Router / Wifi AP
Rebooted Sky Stream.
Does seem better
It's always DNS

Guess what? Over a year later and same poop from Sky with long delay on stream between channels or stalling or technical issues messages.
i have ethernet connections running at 150mps (full fibre) so issue is not connectivity my end.
sky has problem in datacentres / hubs or data pipe speeds and is not telling users!
considering changing provider unless it improves rapid
