Sky Stream poor performance
I've seen a lot of posts about picture/sound problems which I have experienced, I'm on my third puck to solve these issues, switched to Sky Fibre as they said it would help (Same speed as previous provider) and regularly power cycle and cache clear etc.
HOWEVER...
It's still so blindingly clear that the puck doesn't have the processing power to manage the splash screen or running the apps. In particular Disney is so slow you have to wait 5 seconds between each button click to scroll across selecting your film. Thumbnails take ages to load, all while having 500mb download speeds.
The Ethernet connection is a very poor quality module with very slow data speeds so I use the (wifi6) WiFi option instead. Not that is has made any difference.
If this is server side then sky need to step up, likewise if this is due to poor hardware performance. End of my tether and stuck in until 2028

Re: Sky Stream poor performance
Hi @RichardP116
I've got no such issues here and I am rocking original (customer owned) pucks from Sky Glass Gen 1 launch. However many users seem to have issues. Sky need to provide better full end to end support where a customer users their broadband.
Very little processing is done locally they are basically "thin clients". Ethernet is capped at 100 Mbps presumably for cost reasons.
I would suggest that if your on your third puck it's likely something else in the setup or chain that is causing issues.
I would make a complaint via this form. They may let you leave early if you are not getting the expected service: https://www.sky.com/help/your-account/making-a-complaint/how-to-make-a-sky-complaint/articles/how-to...
