I don't think I can express the rage I am having switched from BT to Sky with the puck. Earlier today I was watching Monre Carlo tennis semis. It's impossible to get back to where I was to continue watching. A couple of days ago I tried to use the 15 minutes of half time of a live football match to catch with an earlier match. I had 10 minutes of ads rammed down my throat. It's become unusable to the point I want to pursue a breach of contract and go back to BT in spite of there excessive pricing . Anyone else share my sentiments. Oh, and having watched Bille Jean Cup first set, my OH want to catch up on the last 2 set. Probably more of a iPlayer issue, but internet enable TV watching seems to have gone back several decades in the last 6 months!

You seem to be dismissive of my expereinces and observations. Yes, it's well known about the tendency to provide negative feedback over positive, but it doesn't invalidate it. I'm sure others feel different and I respect those views, so please do the same with mine.,

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GB28 Sky Stream uses a different approach to the older one BT use. The BT box is more like the Sky Q satellite system that uses a local hard disc to record a buffer. Stream does not have any local storeage and you are controlling a remote server there are pros and cons to this appproach one gain is the option to play from the start without having set a recording a con is trick play is harder to control.
However you can set Stream to cloud record by adding an event or series to your playlist and where you do that for sports and you use the playlist to watch you have greater ability for trick play than you do on the stream of the linear channel including the ability to get back to where you left off.
Like all new systems it takes time to get used to them but Sky have some useful videos on how playlistvetc work. You have 31 days cooling off period for both the broadband and Stream but unlike Stream BT TV only works on their broadband service..

I moved from BT TV to Sky Stream last year and find it to be a revelation really... No more getting random episodes recorded, no missing the end of programs on recording, no more failed series links or failed recordings and lets not even mention the absolute shambles of a front end on BT TV. I've discovered lots of great shows on the Sky channels because of the front end on Stream that I didn't know existed on BT's NowTV offering simply because I didn't know they were there unless I scrolled through page after page after page of thumbnails without any descriptions...
BT used to position their TV offering as a budget alternative and it's perilously close in price to Sky Stream now which is far superior in every single way in my opinion.
It takes a bit of getting used to though and that little bit extra for Ad Skipping is actually worth it

I use events and series play and still find it an abomination. I've never thought about leaving a provider mid contract until now. I see only cons, no pros. It doesn't take much searching in these forums and wider to find a lot of people feel exactly the same.
