Sky Stream crashing regularly
Since March 26th my puck has started freezing and restarting during programmes. It's on random channels with no pattern. Broadband is 500mb/s and extender is 6 ft away from puck in direct line of sight.
I have unplugged it for 30 seconds, checked for latest software but it still crashes and reboots randomly.
anything else I can try?

Re: Sky Stream crashing regularly
Having a good local network is a key factor for having a reliable experience with Sky Stream.
Not just broadband speed to your house and router, but for your local network supply via wifi or ethernet, that can be affected in a busy household or can suffer from some local interference.
Best way to test is via a network speed test on each of your Pucks.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, over say a half hour period during tests.
What is your speed for each puck?
Also, it may be suffering from interference, more often seen as an intermittent blip.
Not always a cure, but the following may help to resolve;
Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
Best if you can to have the puck in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, smart meter in home displays, microwaves and the like.
You should be using the Sky supplied hdmi cable or a high speed equivalent one.
Plus, change both your pucks to following recommended puck settings;
Set Network standby mode to ON.
Turn wifi OFF under Network if connected via ethernet.
Sky Stream with two pucks via wifi (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Smart Home - Bundle Smart Home plan +

Re: Sky Stream crashing regularly
Thanks for replying
My WiFi test using Netflix was 105Mbps
There is nothing in or around the puck for 18 inches
There are no other devices within 5m
I am using the supplied hdmi cable
All settings are as you have listed.
Can it be one particular channel as I have avoided the channel it originally crashed on and it's been fine?
Thanks again
