Sky Stream access to STV player partially blocked

I have sky stream and my access to the stv player(and itv x) is very limited( lots of programs omitted) I am obviously signed in with postcode etc(Located Scottish Borders)

I have a fire stick which I use to access these apps and both apps work fine on that platform.

Anyone know of a fix?

STV uses geolocation to block access if they think you're not in Scotland.

On Sky Stream apps run on Sky servers, so it's possible that it's connected you in a way that is being detected in England and so you're getting the limited library. I'm making a guess here, btw, but that would explain why it works on Fire but not Sky currently. 

I'll do some digging and report back once I know anything.

Scottish Borders is an ITV region (Central and Northern Scotland are STV) so you should have full access to ITVX but limited access to STV Player.

I've always doubted the "apps run on Sky servers" thing as people having problems with apps are often told to restart their puck or do an apps refresh to solve it. What is it refreshing if there's nothing on the puck and it's all running at the other end?

I was under the impression it took the log in postcode? 
On the firesick it works correctly, itvx directs me to stv player for licensing laws etc, so no I don't have full access to itvx, but can via the stv player.  
The sky stream app for itvx and stv is just awful it's all very limited.

its no hardship having to switch to the fire stick, it would just be nice to have it all working in one place.

@James202001 I've escalated this to the Sky Messaging team to see if they can help. They should be in touch with you regarding this within the next 48 hours via a colourful chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. 

You may need to refresh your browser for the chat bubble to appear.

Responses from the messages team aren't immediate so you need to check the chat often to see when they are replied. The chat bubble will also be present for 48 hours. Its worth noting the messaging team will ask you to verify your identity so they can confirm you are the account holder.

For future reference, at writing there's no fix, the official advice was to use the apps on something other than the sky pucks.
