Sky Stream - Turns off

Had Sky Stream for several months.  Have 4 pucks in the house.
I've recently noticed that on occasion for no reason whatsoever the device will turn off.  This will happen whilst watching live tv and not after any particular length of time.  I've double checked the settings and I have sleep timer off etc.

I thought it may have been a faulty device however I've experienced the same issue across all devices.  It's also not my internet dropping out, 3 of the devices are wired and I run with 950Mbps down and 110Mbps connection.

Is there a glitch in the current firmware??

Re: Sky Stream - Turns off

It's an E.U. power saving regulation that has been adopted in the UK unfortunately. There's no way to fully disable it but you should get an on screen warning to jiggle your remote if your still watching.

Re: Sky Stream - Turns off

Unfortunatly it does not feel that is the cause of the issue.  The turn off is completely random, for example it can happen 10 minutes into watching live tv.
The other issue is that there is no warning, it's like the power button is just pressed and the box turns off.

It really does feel mute like a bug than any kind of feature.  If it was some kind of power saving, I would expect some kind of text on the screen as a warning of shutdown if there was no activity.  Also this has ocurred as little as 10 minutes from selecting a channel.

Re: Sky Stream - Turns off

Ahh that doesn't sound like a bug but more a fault with the puck, it could be overheating on shutting down.

I'd suggest calling Sky and ask them to send a replacement.
