I am having issue with the sound cutting out for a second every now and again (no set pattern), sometimes it cuts completely.
My setup is as follows:
Sky Stream to HDMI 1
Sonos Beam to HDMI 2 (earc)
Fire TV to HDMI 3
Samsung 4k TV.
Upgraded all HDMI Cables to High Speed
Ethernet Connected Puck on 1gb Virgin Fibre
I have swapped out the ports, powered everything off and reset. Nothing seems to resolve this. It appears in Live TV, Apps and On Demand Sky Content. It is unique to Dolby Atmos content. It resolves on PCM setting, but why would I want to do that, I am paying for Atmos and I have a setup for this. I do not get this issue from the previous Sky Q, Fire TV or native apps on the TV.
Anyone else getting these issues and has anyone found a solution that works?
My conclusion is this is an issue with the Sky puck not playing nice with the Sonos. By the way I have my TV set to pass through. I tried to set the puck to Pass Through as well, but that just cut the sound completely.
Hoping either Sonos or Sky update their firmware to resolve this. I am going to test the setup on my other system, which is JBL 9.1 Atmos and UST Laser Projector, to see if it replciates on that system, but I do not think it does as I have been using another puck on that system and had no issues, I swapped over the pucks and it replicates on the Sonos setup.
Any assitance appreciated.
Thanks

SOLVED: Set the sky stream audio to pass through, set the TV to pass through. Re boot all devices. This has solved my issue, no more glitching or cut out.

I've the same issue with my stream when trying to play Dolby digital for why it's happening I'm not quite sure surely if you contacted sky they'd just advise leaving it in pcm stereo could just be a compression problem with the sky streaming pucks hopefully ironed out with a update
