Sky Stream Puck WiFi Connection
The sky stream puck I have is infuriating.
Every time I turned it off it would lose WiFi connection (connection in the house to other devices is fine). So I factory reset and put an Ethernet cable to it. Same issue. It says no WiFi even though I've selected Ethernet.
It will work for a while at times then freeze and require a full unplug and plug back in.
Any ideas on how to fix?

Have you also turned off the WiFi in the puck's settings?
Even if an Ethernet cable conveyed and the network connection is showing it's connected as Ethernet if the actual WiFi option isn't disable it will typically continue to try and switch over to WiFi rather than use the Ethernet cable.
Once the WiFi option is disabled it's best to restart the puck to ensure the settings change has taken affect.
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.
Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

Re: Sky Stream Puck WiFi Connection
@itisOllie if you are using an ethernet cable turn off the WiFi networking in the network settings. Also changectge Start Up and Stanby setting to allow the puck to remain networked in standby and turn off the eco networking setting as both of these help with stability.

Re: Sky Stream Puck WiFi Connection
Hi, thankyou both very much for your replies, really appreciate your time.
I have indeed done the above. And it is still giving the same problems.
Does it sound like a tech fault with the puck? My sky glass downstairs is working perfectly on WiFi.

Re: Sky Stream Puck WiFi Connection
I've had my Sky Stream about a week. It will also disconnect from my broadband, connected via Ethernet cable (wifi switched off selected) Is it a faulty puck?
