Hi, I have been using Sky Stream for just about a Month now. From the start I tried to use the Ethernet Connection. It worked fine until I turned the system off for 10 minutes or more. Then it says that it has no WiFi connection, even though the WiFi toggle is off, the Ethernet cable is still connected to the Router and Internet. if I turn the puck off and on again via the remote it works ok. I have tried every combination of standby mode, internet power saving and WiFi on/ off to no avail. I have Factory Reset the device several times, with and without the Ethernet Cable connected. I am now using WiFi only but I would like to use the Ethernet connection which should be more stable? Any ideas please?

I have this exact same issue and it's infuriating! I've removed the ethernet cable this evening & gone back to a Wi-Fi connection. Having said that, even when we connected via Wi-Fi when we first set up Stream, we'd still get the message on screen saying it wasn't connected to the internet after turning on the box most mornings. Had to continuously press the home button before it realised it was connected. Very unstable hardware.

Hy Ryan, thanks for replying, at least that makes two of us with this issue - I always thought that a direct ethernet connection was to be preferred for stability!
Kind regards
Alan

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Bod I used to get a message saying there was no Network connection (I note yours say wi-fi). I resolved this by changing the settings in the start up & standby menu. Make sure that the option for "Networked standby mode" is turned ON. I would also turn OFF the overnight power saving whilst you are in that menu.
This stops the system losing the network connection when the puck goes into standby mode.
