Indeed, less customer services and simplified response equals less installation / maintenance staff.

Hi @Jason+Golding I don't often ring Sky but I got Sky Sports for £20.00 for 18 months when taking up Sky Stream same amount on Sky Q for me instead of £27.00 just ask what discounts can be applied if you don't ask you don't get simple really

Ive recently moved house and after using VM for the last 20+ years I'm now using Sky (stream)
From a customer service point of view I would say VM is better, this may be due to the fact that Sky customer service are overloaded with stream customer complaints/issues at the moment i dont know ?
I'm on a 30 day rolling with sky and the overall price for my 3 pucks is extortionate compared to what I had with VM.
If VM was available in my (new) area I would swap in a heart beat.
As previously said by someone else, if sky stream was (as advertised) the premium product it is supposed to be then it is still overpriced.
I have now got stream working stable for me across 3 pucks, but the pricing I'm paying just for JUST stream is more than I was paying for virgin tv, phone and 600 meg broadband, if i include what the phone and broadband I now have with BT then I'm paying double what I used to.
Being in a new build has limited me to the services I can get, roll on which comes first, cheaper stream or VM stream available to the masses.

@Tafster @In my experience there is no way VM customer service is better than Sky - it is a complete dichotomy of that. This is supported with the fact that sky is the least complained about tv service to OFCOM and VM has the most complaints

@Jason+Golding I did say "I would say" so therefore in my opinion, I have had to call sky customer service more times in 3 months than I did VM in 20+ years.
You may say that's the product then and not the customer service team, well that's the point of a sub par product being advertised as premium.
However on at least 2 of the times i have had to call sky I have had to get a link to my camera on my phone to prove what I'm experiencing, that's not customer service that is someone calling me a liar, that is why I believe that VM customer service is better than Sky's
All based on personal experience as I suspect yours is also, hence different opinions.

Sky using technology through your phone isn't them suggesting you are lying. It's them trying to help you. I think you and i and the millions of others that have put up with poor customer service from virgin will have to disagree. Enjoy your day

@Jason+Golding But I have never had poor cx svc from Virgin ? I appreciate others may have had some in the past.
On both occasions when Sky asked me to do this,, both agents said I agree with the issue your having, now I never said anything to the agents as all they are doing is following procedures, but the previous questions they had asked me should have been enough to go to the next step of their process, not ask me to prove it, as once the camera was working I was not asked anything different to what they had asked me previously. As I said it was how I felt based on my own experience, a cx svc journey should not make anyone feel like that.
I also like the whole concept of Sky Stream, and it was why I chose Sky over BT when I moved, my main point earlier however was that a) I think stream is very overpriced like the other poster mentioned and b) if virgin stream was available to me at the moment I would chose VM over Sky based on my own personal experience over the last few months.
have a great bank holiday weekend yourself.

@Tafster @I have virgin media broadband with virgin stream tv and sky stream. I think that at its price point virgin stream is excellent value. For me - with VM when everything is working well - all is great. It's just on that odd occasion when it isn't, I have had issue with their CS. Only my opinion/experience. All being said, I am considering going to VM for everything and scrapping sky stream due to cost and poorer service levels than Sky used to provide.

@Jason+Golding Ironically I'm staying with Sky Stream, as I said previously when its working fine its great, but even this morning I had to re power one of the pucks, first time in a month though.
I need to try and get the price down now.
