When I get up in the morning am I able to watch it ? I'm getting conflicting information from Sky people don't have a clue so thought I would ask users.

There was a load of hassle with it not appearing for playback in a timely manner in the early days. However following an update a while ago, Sky allow F1 to be cloud recorded as long as you add it to your playlist from the TV guide.
It's been far less painful this season than others providing you add it to the playlist. If you don't there can be a delay before it appears for playback via the Sky Entertainment OS user interface.

Do yourself a fabour and do not commit to a contract with Sky Stream. I subscribed in May 24 primarily for F1 and have had nothing but headaches, ruined and missed races completley due to lack of recording .
I have also had issues with Netflix on the Stream Puck not working but switching to the Netflix all on my Smart TV working fine.
Even pausing the race and continuing has been plagued with issues.
I came from BT TV because I ditched BTs broadband which is a prerequisite for BT TV, and whilst BT did have some issues they weren't a weekly occurance like i'm having with Sky.
I'm done now - the stream pucks are headed for the trash.

Personally, I haven't had an issue with F1 being cloud recorded and popping up in my Playlist

Neither have I ( apart from the issue that affected 2 races earlier this season where the first 15 laps about skipping issues on the recorded playback).
However i've have seen a couple of people post on this forum about the playlisting not working for F1 but i've never understood why that would be the case.

Hi, If the race has started can you jump on the Stream say 30 minutes later and still watch from the start?

@f1statosky it should give you the option to watch from the beginning in the same way the football does.
But I can't remember this being a thing last year because Stream has had a few updates since the season ended.

Yes, did this many times through the season last year for sessions and qualy and race, with no issue.
Did it also for some of the test long many hour test sessions a week or so ago, again no issue.

Great and can you pause it too?

Yes, but not for very long. Pausing can cause instability in the stream and if longer than 15 minutes or so, the puck will go into automatic standby, kicking you out of the stream completely.
Watch from the starts works most reliably if you select it and then leave it to play. Fast forwarding or rewinding a 'chase play' stream is fraught with danger because if it glitches at all then you'll likely be kicked back to the live stream with no option to restart it.

If you are going to be pausing for longer than 10 minutes you are best off exiting the stream and then when ready going back to watch it by resuming the stream as it should mark the point you got to.

I see so if a program had already started you can select view from the start, if you pause it it's better to exit and rejoin where you left off, can you also join at a given point, day 45mins for example

Find out moreNo t exactly - you can watch from start and can resume shows from where you were watching as it should create a marker and place the show on your continue watching rail. To jump to a specific place you would need to watch from start and then do a voice command to say "fast forward 45 minutes" to get 45 minutes into the event.

This is my typical F1 sky stream experience.
I've been looking forward to the start of the 2025 F1 season. I set the playlist to record yesterday (as it's a 1am and 4am Practise sessions)
I turn on the sky stream box this morning, press play and I'm faced with Martin Brundle explaining who crashed and who got the fastest lap time in P1. After a bit of confusion (and annoyance) I exited and reloaded several times, including trying to "show from start" with the same results. When I fast forward, Practise 1 ends after 3 minutes and I get 30 minutes of the F3 qualifying before the stream stops at 30 minutes (of a 2 hour recording).
I closed sky stream down, and restart it, the second attempt works flawlessly, starting at the beginning of the P1 stream without any spoilers.
Its an amazing picture in UHD, but you really have to prepare yourself to go through the truly terrible sky stream roulette experience of what you'll see when you press play. And as mentioned by others, I've lost a lot of time trying to fast forward and rewind streams, only for it to glitch and return to the beginning (of a 3 hour stream) where all the adverts have been added again.
I don't think this would happen with Sky Q, I've considered changing back and watching in FHD without the hassle.
