Sky Stream Audio Solution?

Hi guys,

Im not sure if this has been answered or not before, but is there a way to connect the sky puck to your AV system for audio?

my AV receiver has Bluetooth, WiFi etc but there doesn't seem to be an option for it on the puck, either in settings or connections. We can do with actual sky boxes so surely we can do with the puck?

I seen a post saying some users have found a way to use the Ethernet port for it (which I don't believe because it's not built for that purpose)

it seems a shame that we can have a UHD and Dolby device (and pay a sub for the add on) when we can't utilise the capability properly as it's meant to be heard.

any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

@DavSan24

Sure is, many people including myself use Stream with an AVR.

How are you currently connecting your TV/Stream/AVR?

Re: Sky Stream Audio Solution?

Sky Stream can only output audio via HDMI. You can either connect a Stream puck directly to an AVR via HDMI, then connect the TV out of the AVR to your TV. Or, if your TV supports ARC or eARC, connect your Stream puck to the TV via HDMI then connect your AVR with a HDMI cable to the eARC/ARC output of your TV.

If you have an older AVR that can only connect via an optical or co-axial digital connection.

, a Stream puck cannot be connected directly to it.

That's definitely not possible.

Re: Sky Stream Audio Solution?

I already knew it was false when I seen the post for it.
