Sky Steam remote controlling Soundbar

Ok, I've just terminated my Sky Glass due to having vertical banding issues on the TV.

I've decided to stay with Sky Stream and now have two pucks. I've ordered a LG C2 TV and just had Bose Soundbar 600 delivered which I thought I'd give a try out before the LG arrives.

It would appear that the Sky remote cannot control the volume of the Bose. So I've now sent that back.

So.... Can the Sky Steam remote control any soundbar? Or is this just not possible. I can't believe it couldn't control the Bose using the HDMI eARC connections. It will control if using Bluetooth, but I ideally want to use the preferred HDMI route.

Any advice would be appreciated

When you have your new LG TV connected to the Bose soundbar, the Sky Stream remote should be able to control the volume. You would set up the Sky Remote to control the TV volume and this should automatically control the volume through the soundbar by way of the HDMI connection between the soundbar and the LG TV.

This is how it works for  my two Sony TVs and Sonos sound-bars.
