Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
I've got the latest 4k oled 83" tv and a 10 year old Samsung. Does is on both on seperate pucks. I've had the pucks for about 3 years now. May be the newer ones are better. It's definitely the pucks not the tvs. 1gb internet and Eero WiFi 6 so pucks are running at maximum. Hard wired or not. Still same issue.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Definitely not the TVs fault, except insofar as different TVs might be causing different codecs or features to be used and some combinations might be causing the issue to occur on the Sky Stream.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Right! Im watching the Man City v Chelsea match on channel 401 Sky Sports UHD and it was stuttering from the start. Just for the hell of it, at the ad break, I went into the Pucks settings. I entered into the Picture & Sound menu. In the Picture Menu, I changed the default streaming format from Auto to UHD. I then went into the Sound menu and changed from Auto to Passthrough. I then went into System Management, Resets & Updates and selected Restart Device. Since I rebooted the Puck, it hasn't stuttered. Im not one to temp fate, but for now it's working fine!! Please try it if you haven't already done so and let me know if your picture is better. Thanks.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Don't hold me to it. But I believe you loose Dolby Atmos on pass through which reduces the required strain on the puck. Therefore allowing the 4k image to be more successful without the extra demand through the hdmi.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
I wouldn't know about the effects on the Dolby Atmos situation, but what I will say is that I can watch the football without it looking like a scene from Benny Hill and the sound is fine from my Sonos soundbar 👍

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
No, you don't lose dolby atmos. Passthrough means it passes through the audio signal to the output device without attempting to translate or check if the output device supports it. If the video is in atmos and the output supports it, it will output atmos.
However, it's a plausible theory that reducing the load on the device might be beneficial. I'll test this out for the next game.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
From Google:
Passthrough audio does not stop Dolby Atmos. In fact, enabling passthrough audio can enhance the Dolby Atmos experience by allowing the raw audio data to be sent directly to an external audio processor, which is designed for audio processing and can handle the nuances of Dolby Atmos formats more effectively. This means that passthrough audio can preserve the original audio quality, dedicated processing power, reduced latency, and support for advanced audio formats like Dolby Atmos.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Come out of Auto default streaming, change to UHD. Aldo change sound to pass through and re-boot the puck. I did this a couple of days ago and have not had a problem since.
