Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering

So I have this problem and thought I would share my experience. I have 1gb download speed through Sky, and an LGC4. I have no problem with 4k on any other streaming platform apart from Sky UHD, mainly football, to which I suffer from lag etc. I solved by restarting puck, then ensuring live sync is on, this fixed the issue, but I have to do this every time I watch. This is 100% a puck software / sky issue but glass seems unaffected. Could even be the hardware, as it gets slow often (ram).

After the useless piece of black plastic reset itself twice within 20 minutes of kick off I subscribed to now tv, have watched the rest of the match via the now tv app on my tv using WiFi and it's been flawless, no audio glitches, no random stuttering, just normal watchable uhd tv.

Can't even watch football now. Constantly crashing puck on both 401 and 922. Last 1 minute then crashes.

Once again Sky have pointed the finger  at the broadband provider. They need to stop doing this and accept responsibility. Until Sky accept this, I don't think things will improve

 If it was our broadband I and others would have issues with other machines but I don't

Anytime I want to watch sports the picture stutters, lags or is just constantly out of sync. Even navigating the menus is laggy. 

I have 1gig fttp and I am an Openreach engineer so I know my broadband is a stable connection. I have tried Ethernet and WiFi but always had the same issues since I started on stream.

sky need to pull their finger out and make this a usable service.

I have had the issue raised here for the last month and saw the suggestion to restart from the settings menu. I have no idea why but it worked and yesterday's live game was perfect on SSMELSUHD with match alerts from LiveScore always after the event.

I used to have to unplug the Sky Stream box on a regular basis and plug back in a while later when the box would not start but haven't done so in quite a while so maybe this has the same effect. I'm guessing there is some kind of cache that gets cleared by the restart. My broadband is only 53Mbps so speed doesn't appear to be an issue.

For TNT Sports I have found the Discovery+ App is superior and I fire it up on my Google TV Streamer. The sound and picture are way better without a hint of buffering. As somebody else suggested here it's a shame Sky Stream is not available as a standalone app on Google, Android and Apple TV only needing to check the Sky ID and multi-room status. BBC may not be available in such a scenario much like on Sky Go but I would prefer to use my 3rd party box over the Sky box and call up iPlayer separately.

@D+Hig Is the Low Latency channel available on NOW? It's the LOw Latency sports channel that I have the problems with.

No unfortunately not, but it is only a few seconds behind on the Firestick to be honest with you

I think it's pretty obvious that Sky have not sorted out the low latency channel. When I watch 401 it's fine as well

Just think I remember Sky saying that there will be more Low Latency channels last year. This definitely needs to be sorted out
