Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering

I had the same lag issues. Sorted now. So can't be the puck.

@Bazlowski How did out sort it? It's not just lag it's stuttering. Might be a different issue you had

@purpleparrotuk It's exactly the same. Lag causing picture stutter on UHD. Don't know how they sorted it. Maybe increased server capacity.? Not even a flicker on the past 3 live games now.

The issue is with the main event channel. I have been messing around with it and the way to fix it for premier league games

go to TV Guide > Sports > Restart what's on now > click the game > Fast forward to live 

this will force the premier league channel UHD Feed instead of the main event feed. You should see Sky Sports Premier League UHD

I've switched from Now Tv to Sky as UHD sky sports is nigh on unwatchable with picture judder and freezing on Now

I had the opposite experience. It was dreadfully inconsistent on a Sky Stream puck, but has been completely flawless via NOW TV on an Apple TV 4K box and a Firestick 4K Max.

Well I have given up and cancelled the whole package. Can't believe I paid £40 each for 3 junk boxes.

Hmm.. interesting thread.

This was driving me crackers. So the puck I have is not fit for purpose for watching UHD sports I see, sound.

I pay an arm and a leg for a service they can't deliver on.

Where can I escalate a complaint about this?

Thanks to the poster who said to watch from the start then catch up with realtime, I tried this in 922 earlier for the City Everton game and it's working so far. But the United Liverpool game yesterday was awful.

500 meg steady broadband and this is not acceptable. 

I haven't tried it on my son's glass in the bedroom yet- but he's now complaining half of Paramount plus has errors and is unwatchable. 

I'm yet to also find a fix for similar issues when watching TNT sports for the champions League games via HBO max app - as I get that way cheaper through my phone provider than with SKY, but that method too is riddled with flaws.

I don't understand how it's happening on F1 UHD, YouTube and Apple TV app on one of my boxes. YouTube isn't even in UHD.

So I have had this issue too.

I am not proposing a universal panacia.

The puck should just work...no work arounds, it should just work. SKY have obv got a hardware issue or not enough backhaul issue.

However I have managed to get a none stuttering soltion some others have suggested this also.

I have selected the sound as passthrough and that has sorted the stuttering for me. I am lucky using passthrough my TV then does the Dolby atmos stuff. 

It may stutter for a few seconds and then plays fine. 

I have used this for a few days/weeks and does not fail me.

SKY need to fix this as well what the hell do we pay for.
