Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
921/922 have been on the tv guide for over a week if not closer to ten days.
Watching the match this evening I notice it still has no red button option, and when switching to 401 to get the recap up it now forces you into the + app to use it and hence no UHD option, a you know what( to get past the censors) and a brewery is what comes to mind with anything involving Comcast.

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
Sky frequently made press releases with release intentions in the past🤔
A bit of patience is required ... Sky often get there in the end😉

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
Must admit watching the Man Utd game tonight I was impressed with delay on 922 low latency uhd . I was no more than 7 seconds behind real time . Even satellite was roughly 10 secs when I was on sky q

Yeah completely agree- impressive latency on UHD 922 but the sound is out of sync at times and the quality of the picture simply isn't as sharp as UHD 901.
Really hope they nail it as the latency reduction is an absolute game changer for live sport streaming.

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
@SKYLJM The sound is in sync for me and the 4k sharpness is exactly the same on CH922

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
This channel has a tendency to glitch at times too, not quite 100% as yet plus no recap option as still a test channel

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
922 UHD went completely dark for me. Tried to reboot, didn't resolve it. 401/903 perfect.

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
Yeah, it is definitely very glitchy tonight for some reason. Channel 903 is much better

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
Sky have started dropping a new firmware QS030 last night which so far is only on a few Glass TVs appear to have including my own that now gives an option for Live Sync as well as Play from Start on Sky Sports Main Event ch 401 which appears to switch to the feed on 921/2
Would assume the pucks will follow in due course.

Re: Sky Sports Main Event Low Latency
This Low latency is an Openreach extension of the Multicast system that BT/EE use for their TV product with the exception of it not being locked to a single ISP. It has the potential to be excellent but when we had BT TV, it often glitched on live sports and F1 was particularly bad. until this is resolved, I'm happy to be a few seconds behind and mute goal alerts. I'd rather that Openreach and Sky be 100% happy with the test results before rolling it out.
