Sky Q to Sky Stream -Mini boxes?

Hi,

I've got a high install dish and needs special team or independent for realignment.  Tired of paying for this and the hassles with wind and signal loss.

So, thinking of giving Stream a try, since I've got pretty solid fibre installed.

Real question is this... I've got two mini boxes for my Sky Q.  If I take the Whole House option the pop up says they will be replaced by pucks.  Does this mean a zero cost swap, one for one, when I return them to Sky?

No.

Extra pucks are charged a one off non returnable fee per puck of £39.95. You should get the first puck free, when ordering

You can  order extra pucks online via your MySky at anytime, so can do it at a later stage, not necessarily at first order time.

As you have noticed, you will need to have the monthly Whole Home pack.

After your first month cool off period has ended with Sky Stream, Sky will ask you to return your Sky Q main box and minis.
Not doing so will incur a non return charge.

Re: Sky Q to Sky Stream -Mini boxes?

Thanks.  I had seen the faqs but it was the ambiguous wording in the Whole Home (I) popup in the checkout.

"Whole Home is the new name for Sky Multiscreen.  We'll replace your Sky Q Mini box with a Sky Stream puck."

I read that as the minis "would" be replaced, rather than "should" be replaced.  Kinda like "You will need to replace your Sky Q..." etc

@MrStrathmore  Unfortunately it wouldn't be a like for like upgrade, you could try calling to haggle and see if you can get all pucks free or reduced, however there is no guarantee they will agree.

As they say if you don't ask...
