Sky Puck crashing
My sky puck crashes pretty much on a daily basis.
contacted sky support after a bit of explaining they were convinced it was a problem with internet signal, I'm not so sure.
I had a good WiFi connection when the crashing started and as my router is in a different part of the house I invested in a powerline Ethernet connection in case it was the WiFi. The crashing has continued with the powerline connection.
however sky support offered me WiFi Max free for 24months, very good. only problem was I would have to sign up to another 24month contract, which I didn't want to do especially as it is far from certain it would fix the problem.
seems I've been left too it and will just have to live with a defective service with the puck crashing usually right in the middle of a program.

Re: Sky Puck crashing
When you say crashes, can you explain more.
If it's mostly happening when watching live TV, with black screen or picture/sound drop out it is often due to a poorly performing local network, that is needed for a reliable experience with Sky Stream.
Sky may have seen this when you contacted them, as they can see reports of your puck connection and is why they might have offered the different Sky broadband product.
Best way to test first is to rule that out via a network speed test on your puck.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, over say a half hour period during tests.
What is your speed for each puck?
Would also suggest at least once a week doing a restart of your Sky Stream box, no need to then be performing a power plug reset restart.
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete
