Sky Puck Remote Issue

I'm having a problem suddenly with my remote. The volume button now brings up search and the numbers do not work if I'm trying to enter a pin, for example. I have removed the batteries, unplugged the box, pressed 1 and 3, 4 and 6 and 7 and 9 as other posts suggest but nothing has changed. Any ideas greatly appreciated
