Sky Puck No Internet

Attempting to set up our new sky steam pucks. None of them have given us the option to connect to the internet, and when it's attempting to update I believe it cannot update as it is not connected to the internet. Does anyone know how to fix this? 
Can't get past the 'software updating/update error' issues

Connect the puck to your router via an ethernet cable temporarily and it will be able to download and install the software update.
