Sky Puck Delivery Address Issue

Hi, I ordered a sky stream whole home puck today. 

 

I changed address last month and the new address shows in my account, but when I click on 'orders', it shows the puck awaiting dispatch and has my old address next to it?

 

I called Sky twice who have confirmed it's going to my new address and they don't have my old address on their system, but the order is showing as the old address online and as 'awaiting dispatch'.

 

Should I be concerned? Thanks

Should you be concerned? Probably. Sky's IT systems do not have a good track record. All you can do is sit tight and wait to see where it gets delivered. You've done all you possibly can to make sure it's going where it's supposed to go. If it doesn't show up then it's Sky's problem to solve.

Thanks. I'm guessing I'll get a dispatched email soon and then DPD tracking. What happens if they have sent it to the old address?

 

I don't understand why the old address is showing under the order on my account, but is correct on my details within the account.

If they've sent it to the old address then you'll need to wait and see what the recipient does. If they just blindly accept the parcel without looking at the name then they might get in touch with Sky or they might not. They might look at the label and give the parcel back to DPD who might return it to Sky. 

Sky's IT system operates in a parallel universe sometimes. There's always random logic applied to many parts of it. I've no idea why old addresses don't get removed... I've said before that their whole ordering & account system needs scrapping and rebuilding from scratch.

In any case, if it does get wrongly delivered then it's Sky's problem to sort - it's their mistake. You'll have to wait longer to get a new puck obviously but you can possibly negotiate some kind of recompense with Sky.
