Sky Puck Crashes & Devices Buffer

I recently switched over from Now TV & Broadband to Sky (Max & Puck) and have had a couple of issues.

  1. When watching Sky the program often stops (creashes), the screen goes black and the sky logo appears on screen until you switch off/ reset the puck.
  2. In addition to using the puck we also use a chromecast but since changing broadband provider the chromecast is slow and buffers so often it takes 45 minutes to watch a 30 minute program. Despite the router being in the room above the chromecast, the signal appears too weak to allow the chromecast to play as it should.
  3. Lastly, certain apps won't cast to the chromecast that previously would (e.g. WOW) - could this be due to an internet speed issue?

If anyone has experienced any of these issues or been able to resolve them I'd appreciate any help.

Hi @PopAndFresh

It sounds like your issues are broadband related. Maybe this post would be better on the broadband section.

However some additional information may help. What is your broadband speed (promised and actual) - i.e. have you run a speed test on your phone or laptop etc?

You can also run one in netflix on your puck (profile pic > get help > connectivity check)

Sky say a puck needs 25Mbps for HD, 30Mbps for UHD or if you have more than one sky stream device in your house.
