Sky Essentials for £7/m?
I've been. Sky BB customer for over a year and often get offered discounted Sky Essentials.
Midweek I got offered it for £7/m over the phone and I finally accepted. But upon reflection and a Google, it seems too cheap to be true. I've had three emails confirming signing up and none of them mentioned the cost. There's no bill visible on my app either, until 14 days. So I'm suspicious that it's not the price I was told over the phone.
Is that deal possible?

It is possible. They've often offered Essential TV for half price or even free for a period of time, just so people (usually Sky broadband customers) can try out the streaming service and hopefully get hooked enough to upgrade to Ultimate, therefore giving Sky more money.

If you go in to bill and and payment in my Sky app it should show future bills for the next three months. You should have received a email confirming the offer. If you did not get one look in you messages in my Sky app there would be message again confirming the offer. Sky essentials is the lowest Sky stream entertainment package. The only Sky channel is Sky Atlantic, plus you get basic Netflix with ads app and Discovery plus app the rest made up of free to air channels that mainly available on Freeview for free. The price advertised to new subscribers is £15 which considering what you get is a bit expensive. as the Netlifix basic with ads is on only £5.99 and Discovery plus £3.99 so you are paying £5.02 for Sky Atlantic and sky stream puck which only on loan. You if have been offered it £7 and you want to watch that channel and those apps it might be with worth the money. Don't know what minimum term you have been offered but bear in mind when it finishes the price will probably be considerably more as £15 is a new customer price as a exsisting customer I would think to you will probably be more. Compare to getting a cheap firestick which will be yours and downloading Netflix and discovery plus apps direct. And getting the now tv app with the entertainment membership for £6.99 and will give you all the Sky entertainment channel not just Sky Atlantic plus had boost for futher £6. To me yes the monthly cost is slightly more but you get a whole lot more for your money.

Re: Sky Essentials for £7/m?
Discovery pay channels that are left are included with Sky Essential TV along with for some reason Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Racing and Sky Sports Mix.
Discovery free to air content doesn't actually require a subscription on the app on other devices anyway.
