Service

I have just purchased Sky Stream 2 weeks ago and 3 different nights I have had "A Technial Error" and this means I cannot access the TV. It is nothing to do with my Broadband as the sevice is top quality on other items in the house such as mobile phones.

I have also noticed I cannot Fast Forward or Pause on any apps. is this normal?

To fast on apps like  itvx you have to subscribe  to the app, add skipping  is only for sky channels add skipping  is not applicable  to the apps to fast forward  on the app you will  need  to  subscribe  to each one

What speed  is  your  broadband  to the router,  and how is your  puck  connected  to  the  Internet,  if  you are using  wifi, to connect then if you  can use  an ethernet cable  it  more  stable  and  reliable  than WiFi

@peter-marlow+1966 thats wrong.

Ad skipping allows you to fast forward on ITV X, the Channel 5 app and the Channel 4 app.

Well ITV X are hardly going to advertise the Sky ad-skipping pack for Glass/Stream are they? 😀

Its all in the Sky Help documentation for ad skipping.

But the ITV X website has got nothing to do with Sky's ad-skipping pack for Stream/Glass. All information about sky's services is on the Sky website, which should probably be the primary source of information for the community

@KenG2 You should certainly be able to pause on any app ( and fast forward except the ads).

Have you tried a reboot?

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.

Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

Not sure how that is relevant to the OPs problems mentioned.

Yes but you can fast forward through shows without needing to upgrade to remove ads. There is no specific mention of only being able to fast forward through ads.

Re: Service

Yes you should be able to pause on any app or channel.

There's the odd occasion where it won't work in a channel if it's been paused for a while, you'll also miss the start of the next show and this seems to be the norm.

The ideal way is to use watch from start as this will play the program stream and not the channel stream.

Add skipping works with the likes of channel 4 itvx 5 etc, but only when using them via the sky pucks

So you don't need to buy it X premium, unless you want their exclusive content
