Second Stream Remote woth exploding batteries

This is the second time this has happened.  I have 3 sky pucks. The batteries that came with the pucks have 'exploded' and leaked acid internally rendering the remote useless. I have putin a request for a replacement but wanted to see if this was a problem other people have experienced before I make a formal complaint about the quality of items. I now need to wait till a replacement comes before I can watch TV in that particular room.

 

Has this happened to anyone else?

This is something Sky need to be made aware of asap for safety reasons so to see if they can help you I’ll escalate your original post to Sky when it’s more than the obligatory ten minutes old and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.
