Second Sky Stream Remote Batteries have exploded

I need help! I'm on my second Sky Stream remote and the batteries inside this one have burst now too! Batteries are the OEM Duracell again..

I only received the replacement remote a couple of months ago, and yet again I am left without Sky TV as there's nothing you can do without the remote. (No I don't have access to a Sky Q remote in the meantime and I am not going out buying one)

Is this just going to keep happening?

@Stevenmac  There was a problem a few months ago with the remote batteries failing within the remote but I haven't heard of it happening recently until your post.  There is an option to order a replacement online but as this is a safety issue you should deal direct with Sky.  I have escalated your post so you can have an online discussion with the Community Messaging Team.

The link below explains how the procedure works

Keep a look out for the speech chat bubble that will appear on the bottom left of your screen when you are logged onto this forum (you will need to refresh your browser from time to time until you see the chat bubble). When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or the chat will be automatically closed.  Note replies from Sky are not instant so you will need to regularly check the chat thread.
