SKY TV COMPENSATION

Having Lost Sky stream tv.  for 8 days and having spent over 6.5 hours on the phone and chat following there instructions. Managed to get my puck replaced on day 1.

I Installed new puck on day 2 same problem. Then Spent many hours with sky help going round and round doing the same thing, Reset router, reboot puck. Sky has nothing else to offer.  I was doing this 2-4 times a day with nothing changing, then on day 8 Was on chat support and tried one last time, still the same, and chat closed at 5pm. Decided later to write bad review on Trust Pilot.

As If by MAGIC 1 hour after i left my review SKY was back. So problem fixed by sky social media team.

Sky offered £15 compensation for my time and loss of sevice, i declined. Sky Then offered £25 again i declined, i am holding out for a minimum of £50.84, being 4 hours of minimum wage. As i spent so long contacting and following skys instructions to no end to have the problem fixed from there end after a public complaint. What do you think the compensation should when sky wastes your time and not helping of fixing the problem.

@colinqwethjdetu

Unlike Broadband and Sky Talk landline there is no automatic compensation for loss of any TV service so what Sky offered you was a good will gesture.

If you've declined it (twice) they probably won't offer it again.

edit: typo

@colinqwethjdetu  There is no regulated compensation scheme for loss of tv service so any compensation offered is solely at sky's discretion whether you decide to accept it is entirely up to you

they usually apply a credit that would only equal the 8 days without service

@colinqwethjdetu  Your expectation of Sky recompansing you for an hourly rate is unrealistic, you may be compensated for loss of service and the fact they have offered this and you're refusing it based on an hourly rate equal to minimum wage shouldn't be met.

Compensation for loss of TV service at best should at best be pro rata to the amount of days without service based on the monthly subscription charges

That may well equuat much lower than the £25 Sky have already offered, so personally Sky should refuse to offer anything more as you refused the offer.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: SKY TV COMPENSATION

Sky paying £13.09 back to me for service not supplied.

£50.84 is for wasting my time with totaly usless help options.

My Time is more expencive than i want compensation for. I feel That sky treats customers like rubbish and can be messed about with with no come back. If they could fix my problem after a bad review why could they not fix it on day 2

It's unrealistic to expect compensation of any amount for time you've spent talking to  Sky.
