Return to playing channel
Hi,
I just signed up and received by sky puck(s) this week, however I'm finding the remote and the guide a nightmare to navigate.
Theres no quick way to get to the actual TV guide you have to go to home the navigate to TV guide, then all channels, it's very unintuive.
My bigger issue is going in the reverse, many times already in the 2 days of having it I can't return to live viewing. Pressing home takes me back to the main menu but instead of having the "currently playing" icon there's just adverts for Chicago fire or dune etc. The icon isn't there at all, I scroll left and right and nothing. So then I'm forced to go into the guide (as above) and go to the exact channel and select it.
Not sure why it's doing this, or why there isn't a quick way to exit like holding back button. Can anyone advise with this? Finding it incredibly difficult to simply return to the show I'm viewing.

Re: Return to playing channel
Hi @Frogster8
Glass / Stream is designed to be operated via the remote and voice commands. The quickest way to get to TV guide is to press the microphone button and say TV Guide.
To return to live viewing press home button and scroll left, you will see currently playing, recent channels etc.

Re: Return to playing channel
Thanks for the response but I'm saying the latter isn't available for me consistently, there's been multiple times in the few days I've owned it where the home screen does not display a currently playing tile despite the fact I've got a channel playing.
This happened to me a few hours ago with the Juventus game being on, then I pressed home, went to the TV guide, looked around a bit, pressed home again, and the tile it dropped me on was an advert for Chicago fire. I then scrolled left and it didn't have a currently playing tile, and then all the way right and the same issue.
From here I'm left with only cumbersome routes to return to it, either go all the way through the guide to click the channel, or select another channel, then home, then go back to the previous channel.
If the software isn't going to reliably display the currently playing tile it'd make sense to have a shortcut such as double tap or hold home/back to return to the currently viewing show.

Re: Return to playing channel
That does not sound right.
The top rail when hitting the Sky Stream remote HOME key will reference the Currently playing tile.
Panning left on that rail, will show the last ten actions, like last visited linear TV channels, apps ( like Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV+, ITVx) and playlist recordings
Panning right on that rail, will show promotional tiles, about 11 to 13 tiles.
You can call up any linear TV channel by using the voice option on the remote, like 401, GB News or one of your set favourites, like 12.
You can do this from anywhere through the home menus, while watching another linear tv channel, within an app or while watching a playlist recording.
The same voice option as in paragraph above goes for saying 'tv guide'
If you have not done so already and have a display error on your puck as you mention, would suggest repowering your puck, by putting into standby and removing power for a few minutes, before starting up the puck again.

Re: Return to playing channel
I'll try the power thing but other than that don't know what else to say other than the next time it happens I'll try to grab a video scrolling back and forth, because it definitely wasn't present and I don't know why, I had the previous channels AND the suggested shows.
I even tried going back into the guide and clicking home again and it just took me back to a Chicago fire tile on the home menu, left had nothing but previous channels/shows, right more promotional, but it wasn't taking me to or displaying a currently playing even though I could hear my show in the background still.
