@Eilidh1988  You could also try one of the following methods

Lock the YouTube App via Sky Stream Settings

Because Sky Stream runs Sky’s operating system, you can restrict the app directly from your device settings so it cannot be opened without your Sky PIN:

  • Press Home on your Sky remote.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Parental, then Manage parental settings.
  • Enter your 4-digit Sky PIN.
  • Scroll down to the apps list and set app access or change the requirement so that a PIN is needed to launch YouTube.

Set Up In-App YouTube Controls
To filter mature content or lock the YouTube app from within the application itself:

  • Open the YouTube app on your Sky Stream device.
  • Go to Settings on the left-hand menu.
  • Select the Parent Code tab and follow the prompts to create a 4-digit PIN, or enable Restricted Modeto help screen out mature videos.
  • Alternatively, sign the app into your child's supervised Google account managed via Google Family Link to enforce their content rules automatically.

@Eilidh1988  You can't remove apps as it's a closed system that only sky has control over

try setting up parental controls within the app on the puck
