My remote has stopped working for sky stream. I was given sky stream as an add-on when I purchased sky broadband. When I completed the form that is required to get a new remote, the answer came back that I didn't have sky stream (which I do) and therefore I couldn't get a new remote.

You will need to call Sky customer services. We are fellow subscribers here on the forum. The online form is generally many for Glass and therefore warranty claims (although it does appear to work for some Stream users), whereas the Puck is loaned to you so covered by Sky for the entire length of your subscription.
You can dial 150 from a Sky mobile or land line or see: https://www.sky.com/help/home and scroll down to need more help. You will see an 033 number to contact Sky. (The forum software doesn't allow us to post the number).
