Remote made a pop sound now doesn't work
My remote made a loud pop last night, now only very minimal buttons work. I can't select anything, so can't watch tele at all. Is there a way to actually control the menu and watch TV until my new remote comes through the post?
TIA

Unfortunately not. If you have an old Sky Q remote knocking around then you can pair that to a Stream puck. The Q remotes are much higher quality, better made and more reliable than the puck remotes.

Re: Remote made a pop sound now doesn't work
Thanks for the reply. I find it such poor service, when they know there is an issue with a batch of remotes, but don't "recall" them and send out new ones to their customers.
Unfortunately I sent all my Sky Q hardare back, so have no way of actually watching tele now, until I have a new remote.
I'm going to have speak to my wife now and she's probably going to want to speak back to me, in some sort of weird communication ritual...this is a nightmare.
Thanks again

I'd say that it's more than just a batch of remotes, it's potentially thousands of them. I've been through three in less than a year, each with minimal use. They just stop working for no reason whatsoever. Such poor design.
If the prospect of having to spend some actual quality time with your wife and engage in some actual conversation is simply too much to bear then you could pop to the nearest big supermarket and purchase a Sky Q remote to use in the meantime and keep as a spare...?
Good luck!

Or equally Amazon usually have Q remotes, so if you happen to be a Prime subscriber, you may be able to get once delivered for tomorrow 😀

Don't buy a Puck remote from Amazon buy a Firestick😉
Why don't you connect your TV to the internet🤔
