Literally changed the batteries for my sky remote to then use the remote for sky and it won't work?

Not sure why your memory matters, you have access to the box so can easily detect what you have

So am I right in thinking that you're using Sky Stream but the only thing on screen is a white  Sky logo on a black background?

I think if that's the case it's probably not a remote issue, it sounds more like the box isn't turning on properly.

The box and tv itself is fine and on but the remote is just dead nothing working no buttons what so ever it just died tried changing batteries the lot and nothing works
