Remote control problems

Paper strip stopping batteries from connecting ripped when I tried to remove it. Can't see how to remove the remaining paper to get my remote working. Can anybody help me please???

If you are finding it difficult to get a grip on the remote put on a pair of rubber gloves.

 

You only need to slide it a few mm to get the back free.

@Mac4Shaz24 you'll have to keep trying, make sure you are moving it in the direction of the very small arrow.

@Mac4Shaz24 it can be tough getting the back off the remotes I lay them face down on a towel or on a carpetted floor and use. The flat of my hand to slip the back down in the direction of the arrow - the back moves a little way.
