That's correct. Sky Stream is a streaming service, not a recording service.

You can watch live channel streams or stream content on demand without the need for setting a recording.

Hi @JB190 and welcome to the forum.  As you have posted on the Stream forum I am assuming you have a stream puck in which case you cannot record as such.  You simply add programmes to your Playlist which when selected will stream the relevant programme. The same applies to Sky Glass.

If recording is particularly important to you then you need Sky Q which works via a satellite signal and requires a dish on the side of your property.

If you are within your 31 days cooling off period and you wanted to change to Sky Q you would need to contact Sky and discuss the swap.

Re: Record

@JB190   When you get used to using the Playlist it does work very well.  One thing that I love beyond what SkyQ provided is the ability to set up Playlists for each additional family members.  I personally wouldn't return to SkyQ, but if you were considering it, give yourself the maximum amount of the 30 days as it is a different way of viewing but in my opinion so much better.

Re: Record

Sky stream does record many channels/programming including most Sky channels, however, as there is no hard drive it records to virtual cloud.

Sky stream tells you when you are adding to a playlist (channel app) or are recording.
