Really upset at how bad Sky Stream is

I've come back to Sky after a few years away and admit I'd not understood what Sky Stream is.

Its absolutely awful and now I'm stuck on a 2y contract for something that is not fit for purpose.

You think you're recording something but it logs a playlist entry for the same content on a channel you don't have...

you pause live tv only to find it then bombs at an ad break or when the scheduled show has ended. If you're lucky you can get back in but I've had some programs that it's impossible to get back to and continue watching.

Forwarding ads is a lottery as to whether it crashes the app or not.

I was always happy with Sky when it was recording to a box but this streaming approach is useless.

Has anyone been able to break contract due to it not delivering what is promised or is is possible to get Stream replaced with box that actually works.

Watching TV has been a problem solved for years but Sky Stream has contrived to break it.

The current Stream puck is the only model.

Sky Q (through a satellite dish) is still a product.

Yes, forum posts report Sky has permitted users to either switch or leave.

If you pause live TV and go and make a cup of tea and then come back you find it gone back to its menu(if you can call it a menu, its like a billboard, I like simply menus like on Sky Q, best box they made, way you go Amstrad.. 🙂 ) I got so sick of it doing it or turn off by self I bought a Freewiev Box that has 256GB ram so can pause normal channels without them been interupted all the time, only time it stays on is at night, during the day time it most of the time wants to be off, I thinks the standy is set at 15 mins when it should be 3 hours, well the standy should be longer then a film so it does not interupt it.
If it going off all the time and then you turn it back on after, it not saving energy, its just interupting your viewing all the time so then you can't relaxy and watch a program in peace, ahhh need to move the remote again.. :(.
