Re: Sky Sport UHD
One thing I did find that helps. Going into setting and restarting the puck
this made me think the money is not clearing?

That is the case.
The Sky Glass TV or Sky Stream Puck settings restart will along with a device reset, also does a cache refresh that can build up.
I do a settings restart once a week and certainly helps my pucks run clean through the week.

No a settings restart does not do that.
Only a factory reset does that.
We do not recommend doing a factory reset, unless Sky have requested it and you are on a call with Sky as doing so can cause account issues that only Sky can resolve.
Have you read and can you try the suggestions in my post 6 above to help resolve your issue?

Re: Sky Sport UHD
Yes i have read it and i am doing speed test through out the day
the puck in lounge is sat on a shelf on my tv cabinet and it on it own on that shefl no doors or anything is this ok.
What i was saying is when i get the bad judder when i do a system resrot it solves it so i t cant be a internet issues i really think it a sky puk issues noting putting enough memory in them to cope or the cache not clearing themselfs easily. that mad eme think are the new version better at this

Ok good, come back here with your test results later.
Your positioning of your puck sounds fine.
It most often is down to wifi issues and interference as a combination of issues.
Many of us, including Myself and my peers who watch a lot of sport in uhd/hdr do not have such issues day to day, so we generally do not see the puck design at all as being the cause.

@lettice wrote:Have removed some posts form a customer thread to this one as they had nothing to do with the customer issues.
As we have already mentioned on here on previous threads about the V2 type puck.
It is not a Gen2 puck, like the Sky Glass TV is an upgrade in specs to the Gen1 TV.
There is no expected performance difference to the current puck.
All it has is a slightly different power socket design.
It is just a similar chipset from another supplier. Something many hardware manufacturers do to help steady supply chains.
You cannot request one as a replacement for your current puck and as far as we are aware there is no plan for any replacement of a current puck with this one.
Expect going forwards, new customers will be sent one or the other.
Returned pucks from leaving customers or from some returns that may have been deemed faulty will be refurbished and sent out to customers.
The refurbished process is done to a set standard testing level, before issuing.
Sky take seriously their eco credentials and try to avoid waste as much as they can.
I am amazed that a large corporation would be in the business of sending out refurbished pucks or even a more complex product like a Q box. Even if it's outsourced it's going to cost a lot of money to take it apart, examine it for damage (eg a liquid spill), test it, reassemble it and repackage it. I would think the more likely reason for the kit remaining Sky's property is that they can insist on it being returned so that they can meet their environmental responsibilities, especially equipment ending up in landfill.
