Re: Multi-Court coverage of tennis via the Sky Sports App

SKY Stream

Multicourt coverage on Sky stream just is not working as described. Technical competance  on this supposed feature feature is plainly missing. SKY does not seem  able to meet the advertised  service. This  was obvious also in the Us open coverage on NOW.  If Sky have a contract for the next 5 years then they really should not be in breach of contract.

You cannot load the "Tennis Channel" when you want to. Presumably the multi coloured  button on the handset is only for show. Can someone in Sky, who understands software,   do their job and fix this. The multichannel  feature  works fine on Eurosport and used to work  fine on Amazon. It is technically .possible to provide the advertised service  and keep customers satisfied.

The red button streams have worked perfectly every day for the latest Indian Wells tournament.

Just easily launched using the remote coloured button top right.

Have watched many matches there. Also use that same, for football and F1 red button streamed coverage a few times a week, that the Tennis shares in that red button area.

Not had any problem since I have moved to Sky Stream for last two weeks and was also working fine and in same way, before on my Sky Q.

I am looking for matches played overnight!  All I can find is on Catchup, Djokovic from yesterday, Radacanu from 2 days ago, Norris from 2 days ago etc etc How do I access fell match catch-ups???  I'm demented trying too find out how, where does the red button come in, I am pressing but nothing is happening!  I even phoned up but the girl couldn't help!

@JeannaHuggett the Sky Stream remote does not have coloured buttons like other systems instead you use the button with multicoloured spots but it certainly works for me. On Sky Q the red button also should work but SkyHD+ does not support the red button content for technical reasons.

Re: Multi-Court coverage of tennis via the Sky Sports App

Pressing the button with tiny dots does nothing.  We've only had Sky Puk box for two weeks and am a tennis super fan, so frustrated that I can't get matches.  Only showing a few mins as highlight is **bleep**e!  I can get that on YouTube FOR FREE!!  😖😖😖😡😡😡

@JeannaHuggett Two separate issues here. The Red Button is used when watching live coverage, to watch alternate matches to the one being shown on the main Tennis channel. You can press it when watching the live Tennis channel.

As for watching replays of watching matches already played. You can't, apart from the the few made available in On Demand which tend to be the matches that were originally shows in live broadcast.

The rights owners (ATP and WTA) have chosen to use five year terms.

Did Sky claim that all matches would be available on catch-up? The live broadcasts work really welll with a good choice of matches.

Re: Multi-Court coverage of tennis via the Sky Sports App

Yes they said it was all viewable, I also told her the short highlight info didn't have the right player when u clicked on it, ie click on Osaka highlights and swiatek comes on, or the Norris highlights had someone else's match!
Sorry but I didn't have any intention of staying up all night to watch live tennis when it's in USA or Dubai or anywhere else! Last year on Discover+ u got every match on catchup!  When I looked this morning at highlights there were only FOUR matches to watch three minutes each, as catchup, all other selections were from three or for days ago, not what happened overnight!   Absolutely a waste of money!

Re: Multi-Court coverage of tennis via the Sky Sports App

If you saw and advert that said all matches would be available in full on catch-up, you have a good case against them. Sky Stream is well known to be lacking in catch-up sport even on the non-red-button channels. For live sport however, it is excellent IMO.

I'd be incline to suggest that any advert wouldn't explicitly state that all the "red button" matches would be available on demand. Mainly because this is general standard practise for all sports shown on Sky sports, with highlights only produced for some content, whilst other sporting content has highlights plus a full on-demand but only including the content shown on the linear sky sports channels.

Re: Multi-Court coverage of tennis via the Sky Sports App

I've just managed to miss the Sabalenka match, it's not there to watch as catch up!  The red button on the remote is for decorative purposes only as zero happens when you are watching the live action!  I mean WTAF.......absolute garbage!!!

I watched  multiple courts via Red button streams ( Sky stream coloured) on and off since 6 pm yesterday evening till about 1 am. Had no issues with it at all.

If you had gone to the sky tennis channel before 10 pm  and selected 'watch from start', you would have been able to view the live coverage from about 6pm to 10pm of the main Sky tennis channel that included the Sabelenka match.

If you search with voice ' Indian Wells' you will see day 8 and day 7 has two multi hour cloud recordings of the main tennis channel. Also, if you add the main 6 pm onwards broadcast to your playlist, it will add all those previous days multi hours to it, making it easier to find.

The Sports>tennis section on Sky Stream has a catch-up rail that shows other matches from the 12 th and 11 th. They are not all there, agreed, but some of the others get put up in the highlights rail also.

That section could certainly be laid out better, it's a lot of title description reading to find the right content and as always noticed a couple of the title description errors. May need reporting to VR.

The "Red Button" isn't red, it has multi-coloured dots. It also works very well. I have been watching a variety of courts daily by using this service. Note: You have to be on the Tennis channel for it to work, it won't work on Main Event.
